For boat enthusiasts on the Gold Coast -and all over Australia- the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) is a yearly tradition, and this year will be huge! The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, which runs from May 25 to May 28, has so much going on that you’ll need a jet ski simply to keep up.
SCIBS is the premier marine event in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting more than 45,000 visitors and 300+ exhibitors, and presenting more than 600 boats and over 1,000 marine items over four fantastic days.
The largest and most prestigious marine exposition in Australia, SCIBS is now in its 34th year.
The Gold Coast Marina & Shipyard and many of their onsite marine businesses are happy to be coming back to SCIBS this year with a strong team, great successes from the past year and great news for the months to come. Our team will be happy to welcome you on our stand: PR5 on the Promenade.
Since the last SCIBS event, GCCM have launched our full project management offer helping our passionate boaties and captains manage their refits and repairs for boats of all sizes – from superyachts to tinnies – sourcing among the best marine experts working on the grounds of our Coomera facility.
In the last year we’ve also seen the growth of our GCCM Sailing division which now includes Bumblebee 4 (24.11m/79’1″ sail yacht), Arctic Blonde (a Hick 39 performance sailing yacht), Wild One (an exciting new rebuild project) as well as sponsoring the soon to be record breaking ‘The Little Aussie Lap’ – discussed in more detail below. GCCM have also become a founding industry member of the Boating Industry Academy, a program for high school students who wish to pursue a career in the boating and marine industries. Bringing new blood to the industry.
This year has also seen the Gold Cost Marina & Shipyard awarded by ACREW as the Best International Superyacht Refit ACREW Award and have also received our Superyacht Ready accreditation by the MIA.

Just like the boat show itself, we have lots of exciting exhibitions and promotions on offer on our stand.
We’ll be hosting live crosses with Xavier Doerr, who is currently circumnavigating Australia on his 21-foot high-performance carbon fibre race yacht. The GCCM-sponsored “Little Aussie Lap” is looking to break multiple Guinness World Records on its solo, nonstop, unassisted tour of Australia including:
– Smallest sailboat to circumnavigate Australia (monohull, solo) – (new record)
– Youngest person to circumnavigate Australia by sailboat (monohull, solo) – (new record), and being the
– Fastest solo and non-stop circumnavigation of Australia in a monohull sailing vessel – (breaking the current record held).
