New Builds at GCCM

A strong superyacht building legacy

GCCM has a very strong background in the boat building environment in Queensland.

A great many of our team learnt their trade from the Queensland greats including Millkraft, Norman R Wright and Lloyds Ships.  Add to this the enormous amount of seatime that has been clocked by the deck hands, engineers and captains whom now call GCCM home. This is a legacy which most certainly lives on through many of the significant new builds and refit projects completed on site each year. The combined experience of our team is unparalleled and their passion for the industry is what stands us apart from other facilities.

All facets of New Builds can be covered within GCCM. We have the yacht designers, naval architects and engineering capabilities to start the project and the resources and trades to complete any number of New Builds on site. The marine precinct covers 250ha and the marine businesses within enhance our overall capabilities.

GCCM is recognised as a specialist in aluminium and steel fabrication. Many of our trades have been involved in new builds since the early 1980’s. The variety of New Builds completed onsite include Monohulls, Catamarans, Trimarans, and support vessels covering both the commercial and luxury markets.

The Gold Coast Marine Precinct is also home to some of Australia’s premier boat builders. Riviera, Maritimo and Quintrex are all located within the precinct. The pool of talent at our door step is unrivalled and provides a breeding ground for the next generation of industry professionals.
