Based at the world class Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard, Total Refinishing is an emerging business specialising in fairing, painting & antifouling for the marine industry.
Total Refinishing has been established by Jason Motbey, who over the past 20 years has established an impressive track record in the marine industry. Prior to Total Refinishing, Jason held senior positions with Riverside Marine Service, East Coast Yacht Finishing’s (now part of Super Yacht Solutions) and Exclusive Coatings based in WA.

The Total Refinishing team presently consists of 13 talented re-finishers, who bring with them a combined 75 years of industry experience. Every member of our team is focussed on ensuring we deliver our core principals, which are quality and value. We are also experienced project managers, capable of managing projects of scale.
In addition to completing high-end white boat finishes, we also undertake commercial work and have the scalability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Total Refinishing only work with the best products and have developed a strong relationship with Jotun, who has an exceptional range of the world’s leading performance coating products. We have recently completed some comprehensive testing of their new elite topcoat line called Xtreme Gloss and will be applying this product to MY Relentless, a 34-metre kingship Superyacht.
This paint provides ease of application, ease of repair and superior gloss levels and compares impressively against other products, used within the industry. These benefits allow us to provide a market leading service at a considerably lower cost to the captain/owner of these Superyachts, and look set to create a new benchmark for the industry, which is very exciting.
We are also approved applicators for, International Intersleek, Altec Marine Paint, Awlgrip, and PPG. Total Refinishing are also the first company in the southern hemisphere to apply the new Micron 77 to a super yacht.
Total Refinishing is a trusted tenant of Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard, where we have access to world class marine facilities. We are also willing to travel other facilities to complete work.
