The project management team at GCCM are industry leaders in their profession, having experience as senior superyacht crew and ex-captains with expertise in vessel operation, maintenance, refitting, and new construction.  Our team possesses a thorough understanding of the demands, deadlines, and pressures involved in finishing a refit project – from a small boat refit to a superyacht.  The group has a thorough understanding of the refurbishment project’s workflow as well as crew and owner expectations.

They have experience in managing complex refits to ABS, AMSA, DNV, Lloyds, and Bureau Veritas survey requirements on leading yachts including the 93 metre Lurssen S/Y EOS, M/Y Pangaea, Feadship M/Y Sea Sedan (now Huntress, M/Y Pursuit, M/Y Dragonfly, M/Y Little Blue and M/Y Playpen to name a few.

The GCCM Project Management Team

Shaun Quinn is the manager of our project management team. Shaun lived in Cairns for nearly 30 years and brings with him 13 years of project and contract management experience on vessels ranging in size from 5 to 3000 tonnes. He has a wealth of experience in ship system improvements, minor and big refits, and maintenance support services. Senior management from GCCM is based on-site, and the Project Management team is assisted by highly skilled professionals like our Dockmaster, Nick, who has vast experience in the marine industry after managing the boatyard in Opua, New Zealand, and more recently Calypso Bay Marina here on the Gold Coast. A founding member of the Australian Marine Industry Advisory Group and the President and Chairman of the Marina Industries Association is Andrew, our COO. He has a wealth of management experience in marinas and boatyards, which he generously shares with the crew.
